Hard Fought Victories Propel Bairns Upwards
Over recent weeks Bairnfica have won 4 games on the bounce which continued after the impressive 5-1 win over Cadzow with an 8-2 win over Livingston in a friendly. This was followed in recent weeks with 2 SSFL league wins over St Mirrenoff and Beechwood. This has moved the Bairns to joint top of the 2nd division with Motherwell.
Beechwood has proved tough competition in previous competitions and again stepped their play up a gear when Fica came calling. After going a goal down early, Falkirk fought back to hold a 2 goal lead going into the second half. Beechwood came out strong and pulled level. With only 5 minutes to go however, some great forward play resulted in Chris Baty slamming home the winner. In post match interviews, the Baty commented, "It was a great game from the lads. They showed a great fighting spirit yet again." Manager Deryk Wilson was equally happy. "Once again we showed the resolve to come back from a goal down and get the win. We fought hard for it and in the end i think we just deserved it."
As he was being presented for the Man of the Match champagne for the first time in 7 months, James Duffie hailed the team performance. "We never let the heads go down and keep going until the end. We've ground out so many results in the last 10 minutes. Its a testament to the boys!"
Next up for the Bairns is Hamilton Accies in Hamilton. Hamilton are
currently 4th in the league, a mere 2 points behind Bairnfica. A win for
Fica would keep the pressure on Motherwell to win their game in hand.
With the big Scotland vs Italy game the day before, what state will both
teams players be in on Sunday afternoon? Time will tell.
Bairns Win At A Canter
After last weeks disappointing 6-3 defeat to Airdrie, Bairnfica looked to turn things around when they hosted Cadzow Hamilton at Stirling Road. A changed side saw Neely, C. Campbell and L. Hoggan coming in for McFarlane, Hunter & Cowan respectively. 2 Goals from Stenny and Chris along with a Lapo header allowed Bairnfica to send the Accies back to Hamilton with a 5-1 defeat.
Manager Derek Wilson commented, "I'm not be the only one who thought some of our play today was exceptional. We cut them open so many times and could have scored a hell of a lot more. The thing about that win is that it was done in a professional manner. Yes we lapsed a wee bit in the second half, but that's what happens when you have went a few goals up. We took the bull by the horns mid game and ran out very comfortable winners."
Tubes Visits Stirling Road
On this mornings episode of Soccer AM, the team was shown with their new mascot Tubes. Below we have some exclusive first look footage. (We appear after the underwater diver!)
Bairnfica 6 v 1 Hibs.net B
Bairnfica won their 2nd game on the bounce with some clinical finishing in the first half with the full squad getting some valuable minutes under their belt. Stuart Lawson was the star man today with a Hat-Trick to go along with goals from Rainbow, Swav and Peter. The big story of the day however was the return to action for Paul Lawson who has been out for 7 months with a number of injuries. Calum Campbell added, "Heres hoping that he will be 'Back for Good,' as he is a talented player." Match Report to follow...
Bairnfica 3 v 2 PTFC.net
Bairnfica's home record remains in good order as they keep 3 points in Falkirk. Fica got off to the best possible start with some great football and 3 goals in the first half. The Bairns sat back for the entire second half and conceded 2 goals. Some outstanding goalkeeping and brave defending ensured the win. Jose Wilsonio may have some injury worries for the Hibs game this weekend after some meaty challenges.

Motherwell 4 v 3 Bairnfica
Bairnfica didn't get off the the start they had hoped for as Motherwell Trust scraped a win against the Bairns. It was very much a tale of set pieces gone wrong as the Well scored from 3 corners to take all 2 points.

Motherwell here we come...
With rumours rife that a former Portugese translator is on his way north to Falkirk, the Bairns travel to Motherwell for the first game of the season. After last weeks game being unfortunately called off at the last minute due to a little rain, the boys are raring to go. The arrival of the brand new strips from Behind The Wall have further raised the spirits of an already buoyant team.
Time will be taken within the next few weeks to get the Players section up and running as well as a public forum for fans and other teams.

The New Strips Are Here!
It is with great pleasure that we announce the arrival of this season's new home tops. The players and management would like to thank Brian Flynn of Behind The Wall for organising, paying for and providing such a fabulous set of strips. More photos to come!

Knockout Stage In Sight
This Sunday, Bairnfica will welcome Sparta Jag and will look to continue their recent run of good form and progress to the next round of the Cup. With 'Fica already proving that they can mix it with Division 1 teams after beating Broadwood Clyde two weeks ago 3-1, confidence is high. With almost a full squad is available, Del has a selection headache ahead of him. There may not even be a strip available for the gaffer himself!Best of Luck Bairns!

Bairnfica Progressing Well...
The Bairns kicked off the new seasons Interdivisional Cup with a well earned win over Beechwood Bino's. 'Fica launched themselves into a quick 3 goal lead within 20 minutes with some fine passing interchanges between the whole team. Beechwood came back strong with 2 quick goals before half time.Bairnfica regained there composure and had a flawless 2nd half with some excellent defensive play. Young Callum Hunter played his best game in the navy blue with some great wing play. The game was capped off with Bairnfica's 4th goal of the game coming from quick break away where no less than 5 attacking players joining Chris Baty with the rush. It was Baty that finished off the Bino's by rounding the keeper and rolling it in before collapsing in a heap!

The Holidays Are Over, Now The Work Begins...
After a 3 week break, the Bairnfica website will now be more regularly updated. The Bairns start their season next weekend with an Inter-Divisional Cup tie against the Beechwood Bino's. The two teams last met 2 weeks ago with the Bino's running away 2-1 winners in a closely fought match. Before that however, there are a few friendlies arranged very tightly together to allow the manager to perfect his best starting eleven.
First up on Sunday is Brae's Bairns. With 'Fica never recording a victory against Braes, they will be looking to triumph with a reportedly weakened Braes side.

Bairnfica Allstars 2 v 0 Thomas Cook
After last week's first game disappointment, the All-stars got their first of hopefully many wins under their belt with a fine performance against 'Thomas Cook.'
Jazzy Jeff scored a brace to ensure that Bairnfica take home all three points.

Raith Rovers 2 v 10 Bairnfica
Bairnfica continued their rich vein of form with another victory, this time on the road in Fife.
The game got off to a slightly shaky start with the Bairns going 2-0 down within the first 15 minutes. All that changed very quickly when the goals started raining in.
Even the addition of a quality goalkeeper to Raith in the 2nd half couldn't stop 'Fica as they continued to pepper the Raith net. Controversy reared its ugly head when Rosco jumped in front of one of his team-mates and just barely skuffed his shot into the net.
Deryk "The Beast From The East" Wilson spoke exclusively to bairnfica.co.uk saying, "We never really got going till we got the kick in the nads at going 2-0 down after 20 mins. After that we took control of the game as a contest. Yes they got through a few times, but we were by far the better team."
Raith were unavailable for comment.

Stenny hits 12 at the 2nd Hole Shocker!
Hoggie, Duffie and Stenny took some time of from pre-season training at Brucefields 9 hole golf course earlier this afternoon. With Stenhousemuir arriving late, Tee off was delayed until 3pm but that done nothing to dampen the spirits of the current centre-back duo. Duffie was given the honour and was the first of 3 fantastic drives, which was met with huge cheers from the watching crowd.
Controversy at the 2nd hole when Stenny played 3 expertly struck dipping drives, into the pond...
Following some "Happy Gilmour" shots on the 7th, these 3 stallions played the final 2 holes like professionals before heading home to Falkirk in 4 mins at 125Mph.

Currys 2-1 Bairnfica Allstars
Bairnfica's resident 7-a-side team were narrowly defeated by Currys this evening. Some solid defending kept out the free flowing attacking football of Currys with only the un-naturally small goals stopping an equally impressive Bairnfica rattling in some goals. The team of Del, Duffie, Brian, Rossco, Stevie, Geoff, Chris, Graeme and Stenny fought to the death and can consider themselves unfortunate to leave without at least a share of the spoils. Currys scored 2 goals before Geoff set up a grandstand finish that failed to materialise.
After transferring Next's pitiful points balance to their own, Bairnfica travel to Braes to meet Thomas Cook in confident mood that they can push up the table.

Bairnfica 16-2 Pie and Bovril
Bairnfica got their pre-season off to a flier with a resounding victory over their "friendly rivals" at Little Kerse on Sunday.
From the first minute a much improved Bairnfica side piled on the pressure to a slightly under strength Pie and Bovril Select side.
Bairnfica Player/Manager Deryk Wilson told Bairnfica.co.uk, "It was a fantastic result. I didn't envisage that before kick-off. I knew we were well capable of beating them, but by 14 goals, thats just immense. Everyone played their part." The Bald Adonis confusingly continued, "The 3-1 at Graeme High has well and truly been erased and we have the Indian sign over this lot now"
Pie and Bovril also came out with supportive statements for Bairnfica. "They were just fitter, faster, better organised with more quality all over the pitch! They have brought in some cracking new players. We are an absolute shambles in comparison!"
