About Bairnfica AFC
Introduction
The club began life as One F FC, named after the Falkirk Supporters fanzine website.
The first training session took place at Stirling Road playing fields (now our home) on Sunday 12 November 2006, with 11 players partaking.
Season 2006/07
The team took part in the Scottish Supporters Mini League (SSML). We finished 2nd as well as being top goalscorers. This was an excellent achievement for us as we had only just started 8 months earlier.
Season 2007/08
Last season was a test for us. We joined the Scottish Supporters Football League (SSFL) click here, affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association. We let a few players go and replaced them with more experienced guys who we felt could do a job for us in the new league.
In pre-season we recorded our biggest victory to date, a 16-2 win against Pie and Bovril. This set us up for an excellent start to the season as we won four of our first six matches, whilst beating some very good sides on the way. We eventually finished midtable and hope to kick on this season (2008/09)
At the end of the season we were asked to play in a Challenge match against Dunfermline Supporters at East End Park. There was no need to think about it and we agreed. We won the game 2-0 and were presented with a cracking trophy by Jim Leishman at the end of the match. For more information, please see Falkirk FC website and type Bairnfica AFC into the search option.
